Currently, The Clouds Are Ghosts are working on a new album that is will be released this upcoming winter. The band formed in 2008, but have already proven to have a vast range and versatility–the band’s development from their self-titled debut album and their latest releases, Harbringer EP, showcases their development and tailored and harnessed style and technique. The experimental electro-acoustic band has performed alongside The Calm Blue Sea and Les Ravs in beloved Austin venues such as Mohawk, Beauty Bar, and now Stubb’s.

Opening for The Clouds Are Ghosts is the San Marcos based ambient/instrumental quintet, Equals. Equals has been picking up momentum in the last year with the release of their self-titled, debut EP; signing with Paper Thin Media; performing at Wild Frontier Fest and opening for Zechs Marquise; released their debut EP on vinyl; and in June, went on their summer tour through Texas and Louisiana. The band has been working with Alex Bhore (This Will Destroy You) on another EP. Above all things, Equals will bring an abstract and distinguishing style and performance, and compliment The Clouds Are Ghosts’ set.

Kicking off the night will be alternative-rock band Rescue Mission, who released their sophomore LP, Impossible Objects, last fall. Rescue Mission will be followed by electronic-indie band Love Hate Affair. The band has been active in wrapping up their upcoming album, which will be released in the next few months.

Stubb’s is located off of 8th and Red River St. Doors are at 8, tickets are $6!
